If I wanted to cosplay Hibari Kyoya from the Reborn Manga Series in Fanime would I not be able to bring Tonfa?

I don’t know if its illegal in CA or not

According to this year’s (that is, the Fanime of last Memorial weekend) weapon policy, real tonfa/tanfa is not allowed.

HOWEVER, if you made a tanfa look-a-like out of cardboard, styrofoam, wood or anything like that, it’s perfectly okay. Just make sure you get it peace-bonded (checked by a staff member and OK’d for carrying) and everything should be good.
